Meet our Staff!
Owner-DeNell Gallagher, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Oregon State License # 14054
I obtained my Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University.
My passion is working with articulation disorders, oral motor, expressive language disorders, and breastfeeding support. I am currently doing extensive continuing education on tongue-tie assessment and treatment. I have completed some Lactation Education in order to better work with nursing babies and breastfeeding mothers.
I believe that speech therapy in isolation results in slow progress and limited outcomes. Speech therapy is most effective with whole family involvement and daily practice. It is important for my clients to be an active part of their own therapy.
Outside of the clinic I enjoy spending time with my Husband and two Sons.

My name is Sofia Dorantes, and I am a bilingual speech language pathologist (SLP) with pediatric experience. I received a Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences from the University of Oregon (UO) in Eugene. At UO, I was a participant in Project INICIO, a program which prepared me to work as an SLP in early intervention for dual language learners. After graduating, I worked at a private clinic and for an early intervention program in the Eugene area. I am originally from Chicago, IL and was raised speaking both Spanish and English. Before starting my career as an SLP, I taught English as a foreign language to children. I enjoy drawing, painting, gardening, and spending time with my poodle.

Rebecca Spoonhour, CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist (Teletherapist working out of Massachusetts)
Oregon License # 17923
I have a Masters in SLP from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. I am passionate about building a strong foundation of growth-mindset skills in my patients from the very beginning of therapy. A consistent motto in my therapy space is WE CAN DO HARD THINGS! I prioritize individualizing care to highlight strengths and meet each child where they are in development as well as day-to-day and moment-by-moment. My greatest passion is the evaluation and treatment of speech sound disorders including phonological disorders, articulatory distortions and childhood apraxia of speech. I have also personally experienced a tongue tie and release surgery in summer 2023 after finally being diagnosed as an adult! It is my newest passion to learn about the identification and treatment of tongue ties to support my patients to experience freedom when they are young. It is my belief that every child deserves to speak freely and it is my goal to partner with them on their journey to get there!
Fun facts about me: I’m originally from Buffalo, NY (Go Sabres!), I speak French for fun and I dream of visiting France one day. When I am not working with patients, you will likely find me hiking outside with my husband and our two mini australian shepherds Ember and Ash.

Testimonials
"DeNell is very professional with endless patience. Her passion to find a way or program that will fit a child's specific need and optimize the outcome is always prevalent. She completely maximizes her time during a session. My son looked forward to his time with her because she made learning fun and incorporated things that he loved. She has answered endless questions and was open to any ideas. DeNell was the first professional we met that thought of us as family and not as a paying customer. She is now a great family friend and we would recommend her to anyone!" - Corinne
"My son has only been receiving services for a couple of months and his language has exploded! We are very thankful and excited to see where we are in a few more months." -Morgan
"Family friendly, kind staff!" -Kara
"I never feel any anxiety when I bring my daughter, because everyone is very understanding. Their level of patience is outstanding. Absolutely amazing. " -Monika
"Everyone in the office is extremely nice. They all seem to know the answers to every question I may have. There are times when I have to reschedule an appointment, and luckily they have always been able to work around the busy lives of parents. Best staff around!"
-Arielle
"Staff are upbeat and friendly. Engaging for the kids. I have never seen a child resist their therapist!" -Renee
